Alice Setrini is a Staff Attorney in the Immigrant and Workers Rights Practice Group here at LAF. She spends her days working at the federal courthouse where she has the opportunity to interact with individuals from various backgrounds. Alice shared with us how it feels to help people who are struggling with the system:
“I am very grateful I work for LAF because it gives me the opportunity to work with so many amazing people. I staff the Hibbler Pro Se Assistance Program at the Federal Court, and there is never a dull day over here. I have met people from every walk of life, from all over the world, and they all are trying to navigate a very difficult system. There is virtually not a day that goes by without a sincere and heartfelt thank you from a client. This program is a life-line in an ocean of confusing and technical procedures. A client told me she felt like she was drowning in papers she could not begin to understand, and I was able to explain the system and process to her so she could have her day in court.”
Thank you, Alice!
